Founded in 1989 by Roger Chapelle and his son Jean-François, Jean-Francois Chapelle is the exclusive distributor of wines from the family estate (Domaine Chapelle & Fils, 18 hectares of certified organic vineyards) located in Santenay, in the south of the Côte de Beaune. In order to extend his range, Jean-François Chapelle wanted to work in partnership with winegrowers who share the same philosophy and work their vines with rigour. Our team of passionate professionals can thus put into practice what they have learnt about winemaking and ageing to offer wines that are also the true expression of the terroir. As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence and sustainable development, the winery now concentrates exclusively on the production and sale of wines labelled and certified Organic.

ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneにおけるネゴシアンの役割は時代とともに複雑化しています。もともとは熟成途上のワインを買い取り、熟成と販売を担っていましたが、近年はぶどうを直接買付け、醸造そのものを手がける例もみられます。これは、自ら醸造するワインの品質を完全にコントロールするためです。
ぶどう栽培家を組合員とし、協働で醸造と販売の発展に取り組んでいます。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには23の協同組合があり、ワインワイン生産の16％を占めています。
