AMI is an adventure, the story of a friendship that has become a project, and of a simple yet demanding ambition: to create wines that are seductive and full of sparkle, warm and full of meaning, nourished by simple generosity.
Making wine was first and foremost a way for us to grow this friendship. The first vintages were made from grapes purchased from winegrower friends, before the obvious decision was made to root the project in our own vineyards.
Today, AMI cultivates 5 hectares in the Côte de Beaune, from the Maranges valley to Pommard, via Santenay, with the aim of revealing wines that are fair, lively and deeply linked to their origins.
ぶどう畑の所有主や借地人は、年間をとおして仕事に取り組み、テロワール/terroirの表現を守り続けています。ぶどうを育て、ワインの醸造を手がけるほか、自ら販売まで携わっている例もあります。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには3,800のドメーヌがあり、うち1,300のドメーヌがワインを自ら販売しています。平均栽培面積は8haです。
ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneにおけるネゴシアンの役割は時代とともに複雑化しています。もともとは熟成途上のワインを買い取り、熟成と販売を担っていましたが、近年はぶどうを直接買付け、醸造そのものを手がける例もみられます。これは、自ら醸造するワインの品質を完全にコントロールするためです。
ぶどう栽培家を組合員とし、協働で醸造と販売の発展に取り組んでいます。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには23の協同組合があり、ワインワイン生産の16％を占めています。
