Located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of Burgundy, Domaine Faiveley covers more than 120 hectares of vines in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise regions, including 12 Grands Crus and 22 Premiers Crus. Founded in 1825, the estate is now run by Eve and Erwan Faiveley, the 7th generation. Together, they make wines that combine power, finesse and elegance, while highlighting the richness of their terroirs. The estate has been certified organic since July 2025, marking its 200th anniversary.
ぶどう畑の所有主や借地人は、年間をとおして仕事に取り組み、テロワール/terroirの表現を守り続けています。ぶどうを育て、ワインの醸造を手がけるほか、自ら販売まで携わっている例もあります。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには3,800のドメーヌがあり、うち1,300のドメーヌがワインを自ら販売しています。平均栽培面積は8haです。
ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneにおけるネゴシアンの役割は時代とともに複雑化しています。もともとは熟成途上のワインを買い取り、熟成と販売を担っていましたが、近年はぶどうを直接買付け、醸造そのものを手がける例もみられます。これは、自ら醸造するワインの品質を完全にコントロールするためです。
ぶどう栽培家を組合員とし、協働で醸造と販売の発展に取り組んでいます。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには23の協同組合があり、ワインワイン生産の16％を占めています。
