Château de Meursault is one of the largest estates in Burgundy, with 35 appellations, including 18 Premiers Crus and 3 Grands Crus. Spread over 110 plots, the vineyard stretches from the Corton hill to Puligny-Montrachet, via Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay and of course Meursault. With its exceptional setting, the Domaine du Château de Meursault has developed a dynamic wine tourism business. It also hosts exclusive, personalised premium tours.
ぶどう畑の所有主や借地人は、年間をとおして仕事に取り組み、テロワール/terroirの表現を守り続けています。ぶどうを育て、ワインの醸造を手がけるほか、自ら販売まで携わっている例もあります。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには3,800のドメーヌがあり、うち1,300のドメーヌがワインを自ら販売しています。平均栽培面積は8haです。
ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneにおけるネゴシアンの役割は時代とともに複雑化しています。もともとは熟成途上のワインを買い取り、熟成と販売を担っていましたが、近年はぶどうを直接買付け、醸造そのものを手がける例もみられます。これは、自ら醸造するワインの品質を完全にコントロールするためです。
ぶどう栽培家を組合員とし、協働で醸造と販売の発展に取り組んでいます。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには23の協同組合があり、ワインワイン生産の16％を占めています。
