The DJP works an amazing collection of great terroirs in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
It is the only domain to have vines in the five great mythical appellations: Chambertin, Musigny, Clos Vougeot, Corton Charlemagne and Montrachet.Martin Prieur, the grandson of the founder, has directed the domain for about fifteen years. He is assisted by Nadine Gublin his oenologist and Daniel Godefroy, head of cultivation. Daniel uses organic cultivation respectful of the environment. The work of the soil is special and is associated with plant health methods to produce healthy grapes and fine maturity. All the team works with a single objective: to produce
original wines which are a reminder of the terroir where they were born.
ぶどう畑の所有主や借地人は、年間をとおして仕事に取り組み、テロワール/terroirの表現を守り続けています。ぶどうを育て、ワインの醸造を手がけるほか、自ら販売まで携わっている例もあります。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには3,800のドメーヌがあり、うち1,300のドメーヌがワインを自ら販売しています。平均栽培面積は8haです。
ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneにおけるネゴシアンの役割は時代とともに複雑化しています。もともとは熟成途上のワインを買い取り、熟成と販売を担っていましたが、近年はぶどうを直接買付け、醸造そのものを手がける例もみられます。これは、自ら醸造するワインの品質を完全にコントロールするためです。
ぶどう栽培家を組合員とし、協働で醸造と販売の発展に取り組んでいます。ブルゴーニュ/Bourgogneには23の協同組合があり、ワインワイン生産の16％を占めています。
